MAGNIFIQUE PERFUME FOR WOMEN BY LANCOME

Magnifique by Lancome was created by the perfumers Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier with the intention to renew the olfactive interpretation of a spicy woody scent for women. Continuing the current trend of woody fragrances for women, Magnifique by Lancôme shows intriguing notes of cumin, Bulgarian rose, saffron essence, jasmine, nagarmotha, vetiver and sandalwood.

Magnifique by Lancôme starts with a sharp citrus opening and the spices take some minutes before to warm up. Especially the cumin, that is not overdone, adds an edgy undertone to the floral notes of rose and jasmine. The whole accord seems a veil of vanillic sweetness when the green notes, like nagarmotha and sandalwood, are added to this fragrance.

Magnifique by Lancôme doesn't smell candied, because the note of saffron essence brings to the scent something dark, like in a wood during the end of the daylight, making this fragrance suitable to wear better in autumn and winter than in the heat of the summer. Even if most of the other existing feminine woody scents, like Estee Lauder's Sensuous and Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, just to mention some of them, are very appreciable fragrances, Magnifique by Lancôme seems to be sexier than any of those, maybe due by its lasting power, that is very strong.
